Velogames Fantasy Women’s Classics

There is always a start to everything. If you do not watch women cycling, you are definitely missiing out on the biggest entertainment in your life. Strade Bianche Donne 2023 is the perfect opportunity to start and here is why:
Raw, young, wild, these womens races with the sole goals of having themselves or one of their teammates raise up their hands at the finish line.
The shorter nature of the races make it pack for action at any points. If you have not started cheering on for the awesome ladies, Velogames Fantasy Women’s classics is the perfect chance to hop onboard. It did for me last year, and to be honest I now look forward to the ladies race more than seeing Remco Evenepoel taking 40km raid solo win.
When it comes to fantasy, women cycling is as simple as it as complicated. There is usually a little more than a dozen riders, who always perform on any types of terrain. Exception being the sprint queen Lorena Wiebes, untouchable last year, she seems to have found her match in her former leadout, Chalotte Kootl.

The name of the performing ladies become familiar as you watch the races and get acquainted to them, their strength and their weakness. The hardest part, is as you expect: an expensive price tag and it all comes down to having the best combination to fit 100.
The second edition of Velogames Fantasy Women Classics will take you all the way from Strade Bianche Donne 2023 Tuscany to Liege in April. You can find the schedule here.

Strade Bianche Women 2023

136 km long, the ladies have the same finish as the men. Positioning in all the sectors is essential so as to follow any increase in pace on the white road. Lotte Kopecky‘s impressive win last week at Omloop, put the defending in the favourite spot for Strade Bianche Donne 2023 . After a very controversial week involving her effort to performance, she definitely looks better than last year when she cleverly held on to Annemiek Van Vleuten before rounding off her in the sprint.

Annemiek Van Vleuten is the eternal favourite for all races. Yes she seems to have found her march in the mountains in Ashleigh Moolman and more recently Amanda Spratt, but she is remais a beast who will put in some damage when required.
SD workx have another bright option in Demi Vollering, who after a rather anonymous year by her standard will be keep to enjoy her partnership with Kopecky.

Katarzyna Niewiadoma is still running after her first victory for 3 years. Her shape and new attacking style shows that win is achievable but a podium more realistic. Team mate, Elise Chabbey, 6th is another contender for the podium.
A new Cecile Uttrup Ludwig post win interview is due. With 3 5th place, 7th, 9th and 10th in past performance. The dream is open.

Silvia Persico is cyclocross rider who had an amazing conversion to road cycling. 10th last year, better is expected this year at Strade Bianche Donne 2023.
Yara Kasteljin is a climber who is on the right improving slope. After a 12th place at Strade Bianche Donne last year. A top 10 is achievable.

Finally, it would be a crime not to mention Puck Pieterse. After unforgiving battles with Fem Van Empel (mostly) and Shirin Van Anrooij at the cyclo cross season, she is making her first step on road cycling at 20. Seeing how Shirin Van Anrooij brought her abilities to the road, big things can be expected from Puck Pieterse, starting from those whitish road in Tuscany at Strade Bianche Donne 2023.
