Greg Van Avermaet (24)
Surely he did not leave up to his price tag.
At 37, it is safe to say that the former olympic champion is way past his prime. A late resurgence of performance in the italians gravel. his specialty might be a show of deceit.

Andrea Vendrame (14)
two top 20 finishes in the first two superclassico were all he had to show for this season.
Surely the sprinter who climbs decently can do better.

Oliver Naesen(20) : Another Belgian who has been nothing short of disappointing for Vincent Lavenu. Anonnynous at the Tour, rarely performing in the classics. 2023 is an important season for him.
He needs to get back to his best and show that he is the strong cobble rider that we know he is.
Verdict for 2023: Not necessarily a major drop in price. at 32, he remains very useful in the Ardennes.
Clement Berthet (6) : 14 th in San Sebastian and Lombardia, At 25, he is on the rise.
We will be seeing more of him as Bob Jungels departs.
Verdict 2023: Should he still go under the radar and be priced at 4, he can an interesting option in the spring classics limited transfer and be brought in the the final more undulating races
Clement Venturini (8)
The cyclocrosser is simple.
France classics race + gravel/ paves.
He will always be in the mix.
However with the coming of riders like Matis Louvel, priced at only 6 in 2022, he was seriously under selected when it mattered.
Verdict 2023: Only to be considered in races like Tro Bro Leon, GP Morbihan and Paris Tour Elites.
Lilian Calmejane (12)
Absolutely nothing to show for a rider priced at 12. A very disappointing season where he he will be undergoing a significant price drop.

Whatever their price tags in the superclassicos, these are Grand tour men.
Ben O’Connor will be aiming for that final podium that we know he can do, while the others are there for prestigious stages win.
Verdict for 2023: Expect to see more of him in some one days races in France and he will be at the start of the Tour de France this time.
Verdict 2023: do not put all your eggs in the sae basket. he will be freed again and not have to work for Ben O’Connor and have his go at KOM point in which ever grand tour he takes part of.
Jaakko Hänninen (6)
The sensation from Finland is an impressive rider, however the final delivery is not here yet and thus not a big points earner in Velogames. Be it in Stage races or classics.
