EF Education-EasyPost Men’s Team

There is no other team like this in the peloton.
In a world of their own, with Jonathan Vaughters at their head, Team EF Education-EasyPost embodies everything about chillness: from no stress about performances to unique kits.
Even in Velogames, they do have some really really good performers without catching too much of attention.
Andrea Piccolo:
By far, the mid season transfer of the season on the road and in Velogames.
The Italian accumulated decent performances at his price of 6, starting throught the Bretagagne Classic Ouest (10th with a whooping 237 point which included break away points).
He did even better in the Maryland classics with his 5 th place and 285 points.
While he did lay low in Canada, he came back with some more than decent performances in the Italian classics, scoring precious velogames points in all of them.
For a rider that competed only half of the classics, he finished as 37th best Superclassico rider for a price of 6 with a total of 1173.Verdict 2023: while he is untested on cobbles, his young age will guarantee him a fair price that will make him one to seriously consider in the classics.
Neilson Powless
Not far behind in the superclassico with 1131, the American has the habit of peaking at the end of the season.
Priced at 12 nevertheless, his performances spread over the whole season with his Best was 285 pts at Liege Bastogne Liege.
After slowly growing into form, his was in the best possible team at the Tour de Suisse (449 points for a cost of 8).
His performances in the Tour de France were nothing to be shy of.
While he was part of the best possible team for nearly most of the Tour de France, he faded out just like his GC rankings in the race.
He ended up with 910 points and as second best 6 points behing Laporte but in the All-Rounder category.Verdict 2023: He will confirm his talent and possibly be able to sustain his form over the 3 weeks period required in a Grand Tour.
Alberto Bettiol
A real classic rider who is not enjoying the best of form.
An final overall rank of 70th with a total of 807 is just not enough for a rider that cost 16 points. Verdict 2023: Coming back from injury, a much better 2023 season is expected.
Rigoberto Uran:
The Colombian is ageing like fine wine.
Not a big fan of classics, his best performance was his 9th place at San Sebastian.
He started turning back the clock in the Tour de France by improving his performances only to peak at the Vuelta with final 9th place.
In the Velogames, sadly those were not really inspiring performance given the high price tag he is often associated with.
Indeed his Vuelta performance only placed him as the 20th best velogames rider.Verdict 2023: he needs to watch out for a rider who decided to continue his career for one more year believing he could chase a final Grand Tour podium.
Micheal Valgren:
After a very promising start to the season where he only failed to bring points in races that had sprint finishes ( Milan San Remo, De Panne) and the Belgian Cobbles.
He already brought in 615 points in 5 races ( Strade Bianche, Milan Torino, E3 Saxo classics, Amstel Gold Race, Brabantse Pijl).
He was indeed living up to his price tag of 18 points only to crash out with fractured pelvic injury, ruling him out for the rest of the season.Verdict 2023: We just all hope to see him back on a bike first
Marijn Van Der Berg:
EF education-easy post have themselves and interesting rider who regularly delivered placing in classicsVerdict 2023: A rider that will definitely thrive in the dark but do not miss out on him.
Ruben Guerreiro
A rider who was a firm fan favourite for the Tour de France but quetly bowed out due to Sickness.
His only Superclassico points came from Strade Bianche, La Fleche Wallonne, GP de Quebec and Montreal, 3 of them featuring punchy finishes.Verdict 2023: Confirmed at Movistar, his role is not defined yet as he could alter stage chasing and support for Enric Mas
Esteban Chaves:
After a rather promising Dauphine, he disappointed everyone only to vaguely figure in the Italian Autumn Races.Verdict 2023: Still looking for a contract…
Hugh Carthy:
He loves steep climbs. While he was clearly suffering in the first week of the Giro, he was absolute class in the last week featuring everyday.
He ended up as the 21st best Giro Veloagames rider for a total of 887. Invisible in the Vuelta.
Verdict 2023: A really hard rider to predict. A combination of good form and reasonable price is a definitely a good risk to take.Magnus Cort Nielsen:
706 points for a cost of 8 with a final Velogames ranking of 20th. This is the performance of rider whi only completes 2/3 of the Tour.Verdict 2023: Eyes closed, whatever the price just get him in Grand Tours. Sprinter, time trial, puncheur, baroudeur. he does it all,
