Israel Premier Tech
Unsuprisingly the relegated team has nothing much to show for in the Super-Classico. Micheal Woods has been a huge disappointment. Giacomo Nizolo was a very mere performer. Dylan Teuns joined way too late. The only satisfication was the late and a bit too late emergence of Corbin Strong.
Corbin Strong
The track rider expert was a big revelation and his held up all the team’s chance of avoiding the drop nearly all on his own. After a rather decent season debut with an 18th place in Milan Torino, he exploded as from the Tour of Britain. He brought in 666 points in 3 of the 7 races he raced in. Verdict 2023: The New Zealand prodigee is expected to remain in the team but his performances will largely depend upon the invitation the team will receive.
Sep Vanmarcke
The Belgian always bring in some performances here and there. The Belgian had a rather disappointing classics campaign. He started gaining some form in Maryland, race which he won bringing in 300 points. The form continued in Canada but it was just a little bit too late.Verdict 2023: He is a quality rider who will undergo a price drop. A keen eye need to be kept on him.
Giacomo Nizzolo
Credit has to be given to the former European champion. His only win of the season came in Castilla Y Leon.
His several placing showes that he still has the fire inside him.
Verdict 2023: Always need to be in the team in one day classics where a sprint is expected.
Daryl Impey
In a season of revival, the South African raised his arm again in a stage win in the Tour de Suisse. Verdict 2023: At 38, how much will he be able to bring to the table to the team?
Patrick Bevin
The team has been holding up a rider that could have brought them so much delight. A good time trialist, an excellent sprinter, he has more than once proven the he could climb with the best. For 6 credits, he brought 257 points in the Tour de Romandie (14th best) Verdict 2023: on his way to team DSM, a team known to allow their riders all the freedom in the world.
Chris Froome, Micheal Woods, Jakob Fuglsang
The 4 times Tour de France has been improving his form constantly. He looked in the best condition we have seen him for 3 years at the Tour de France. A stage win was within reach until Covid struck.
Micheal Woods used his punchuers ability to secure him a 6th and 10th place in La Fleche Wallonne and Liege Bastogne Liege. That totalled to his 501 points in the super classico.
Jakob Fuglsang was actually looking in decent shape prior to his abandon in the Tour de France. His 3rd place finish at the Tour de Suisse earned him his place in the best possible team with 563 points for 10 credits.
