Lorena Wiebes is the double defending champion and Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023 edition does take a new route but it favours a sprint finish even more.

156.9 km, 9 cobbled sectors, Miron Ronde Van Drenthe features a particular climb: The Vam- berg. This is a climb built over a land-fill station and is 500m long with average of 4.2%. In 2023, the final ascent will be crested with over 30 km to go, giving more terrain to sprinter’s teams to reassemble.

Team Sd workx presents itself as the ultimate favourite for Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023. While Lorena Wiebes is the main sprinter they will bank on, Lotte Kopecky‘s current form and condition is outrageously too good for her not to be given her own chance. Lotte Kopecky is expected to attack before the last climb is completed, leavingthe chase to other sprinters team.

The main reason as to why Sd Workx will play both cards fairly is Charlotte Kool. Once considered unbeatable in sprints, Lorena Wiebes has found her equal in her former leadout. Unfortunately, the German is sick and is set to miss Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023. As such, all the hopes of team DSM will be resting on Pfeiffer Georgi.

Last year, most sprints came down to a duel between Lorena Wiebes and Elisa Balsamo with the former being superior by far. The former world champion and current Italian champion represents the best chance for her team and her form is good. 2 out of 2 sprints win this year. A podium at Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023 is pretty much assured.

UAE team ADQ comes with 2 cards: Chiarra Consonni and Marta Bastianelli. Consonni will be the one they will work for in a bunch sprints while Marta Bastianelli is in hot form and will be trying to extricate a small group finish from where she will sprint for glory. Sofia Bertizzolo and Eleonora Gasparini are both also expected to be part of the finish of Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023.

2nd at Le Samyn des dames, Maria Guilia Confalioneria has acqainted well to her new team Uno-X where she will be sharing the leadership with Anouska Koster, 6th at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.

Canyon// SRAM Racing comes with a very talented lot of sprinters. Shari Bossuyt is a regular top 10 sprint finisher and was the main girl at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad finishing 15th. Saray Roy is the most experienced one here and took 2 top 10 sprint finishes at UAE tour. Maike van der Duin is the new girl. Her 3 top 6 sprint at Tour de France Femmes put her high in the hierarchy but she needs to present in the final part of Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023

Anna Henderson, Coryn Labecki and Karljin Swinkerls represents trio of riders capable of sprinting. Karlijn Swinkels finished 11th at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and will could the last in the sprint train again at Miron Ronde Van Drenthe 2023

FDJ – Suez also has 2 very brave and fast women to rely on. Gladys Verhulst usually attacks from far but she can also sprint and was trusted with that responsibility in UAE. The role of leading the team is more likely going to fall on the shoulders of Vittoria Guazzini. The brillant young Italian recently finished 3 at Le Samyn des Dames but she thrived better when the terrain elevates

Ceratizit WNT Pro cycling will probably be playing the numbers and have both of Marta Lach and Mylene De Zoete sprinting for UCI points ans seen in UAE tour where they both snatched top 10 finishes twice. Sandra Alonso is also

Zaaf cycling team will be hoping to continue their impressive debut. Just like Ceratizit WNT pro cycling, they will be aiming to collect the maximum points. Audrey Cordon- Ragot is having a fabulous career revival and should be challenging for the podium unless she is still suffering from the after effect of her weekend flu.

Fenix- Deceuninck do not have too much of dilemma as with Julie De Wilde although Christina Schweinberger could aspire to have her own chances at Miron Ronde Van Drenthe after her 7th place at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
Julia Borgstorm would be a natural choice for Ag Insurance but Lotta Hentala made a deafening return to cycling this season finishing twice behind Elisa Balsama in Valenciana.

Alison Jackson is a more straightforward choice for Ef Education- TIBCO- SVB as in Tour Down Under ‘s sprint stage winner Daria Pikulik for Human Powered Health.
Finally Italians track riders Rachele Barbieri and Laetizia Paternoster both have the full backing and support of their respective teams to bring them to a sprint finish. While Barbieri has been timid so far ( 64th at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad) and Paternoster finished 6th at Craywinckelhof – Omloop van het Hageland.
